Alice was a regular human. She was not happy about it. Wizards and witches was superior in this world, she was treated like pure dirt and she felt it. Living in a world where magic existed but she could not use it was frustrating she thought as she smoked her cigarette. The nicotine made her a bit dizzy as she walked but she liked the feeling. Smoking calmed her nerves a bit when she was outside, you never knew when you would meet a nasty magician who would mess with you. The magicians council had decided against violence towards non-magical humans but they did little to nothing about it once it occurred.

It was cold outside with small snowflakes falling towards the white ground. Alice had put on both gloves and her favourite beanie before she left home. As she walked she looked around every corner before she walked past it. She had a tough shell but she had to admit that she was scared. She had scars all over her body, almost everyone did, from magicians who had attacked. She had thought about telling the council but as mentioned before they didn’t do much of anything about it, didn’t even lift a fucking finger.
