Why is this thread dead? It's a splendid idea! I love to write in English, however I'm quite terrible at it... Which is why I need some training! Come on, bring this thread back to life! (I know that it only has been dead for less than a month but... still dead.)

I'm pretty okey, three quarters alright and half good at writing in English but my speaking abilities are rather poor..

So is this supposed to be like an English version of "Intresseklubben antecknar" or does it have a topic of some sort?

I agree! I tried to bring this thread back to life and it sort of worked, but then it died again xD

Does anyone else here not speak english with a swedish accent?

I think it's kind of weird how a lot of people never lose their accent when learning a language. Why does the first language matter so much? You learn it at a young age, and in the beginning you have a "baby accent" as I call it, for lack of a better word. After a few years you lose it and speak like, well, a native. How come that's not how it works for most people later in life when learning other languages?

Unfortunately I have an american accent. I blame it on tv.

Åh hey det är ju en sån här grej som är där under foruminlägg :D Men jag har inget bra att skriva här. I'll get back to ya. Kanske. Eller inte

I've tried to speak with a british accent although I think it might would be easier if I knew some british people x)

I speak English with an american accent and I’m quite okay with that. And by the way, I think that some british accents kind of sound like Danish? Like, not the Danish language; but a Danish accent, in English. Get what I mean?

American is better than swedish at least, I think swedish accents in english sound daft. I started preferring british over american when it was already too late, I can't switch to british now without it being cringy so I just incorporate british words into my vocabulary lmao.

Which accents? Like, some kind of working class thing? I might know what you mean.

Speaking of dialects, I think my favorites are Scottish and all the accents in north of England. I just love the Scottish accents, all of them, and in north England I think my favorites are Geordie, Mackem and Scouse. But it is, to no one's surprise, impossible to speak with these accents, especially the English ones, but it can be fun sometimes to spell words like I'm speaking the accent, like writing "ye" instead of "you", "yer" instead of "you're" and "your", "me" instead of "my", LIKE. (they end ALL sentences with saying "like" in Mackem, sometimes they start with it too haha xD)
