Chapter 38

Harry’s POV

I look at my phone again. Two minutes till midnight.
“Are you ready?” I whisper in Lisa’s ear, and she smirks.
“I was born ready”.
“You know, this is my first New Year since I turned eighteen I haven’t been drinking”, I say to her, and she rolls her eyes.
“Still enjoying yourself, or is it too lame for you?”
I smirk. “Not at all. You make everything one hundred times more fun, though”.

Zayn and Katherine come into sight, from a path besides the trampoline. Their holding hands again, so I guess they made up. I still feel a little
“What does that path lead to?” I ask Lisa.
“Oh, to the shore. Katherine always goes there when she’s upset. Zayn could’ve asked anyone and they would all know were she was”.

“Are y’all ready?” Lauren asks excitedly. She walks up to us, and it looks like she have jumped a bit at the trampoline, judging by her red face and the way she tries to catch her breath.
Lisa laughs a bit. “Yeah, we are”, She smirks at me.

“Okay everybody!” Michael suddenly jells. “Ten, nine, eight…”
We all start to chant the numbers down to zero.
Massive fire-works are going of like crazy, and I can’t stop smiling, as I look at Lisa’s happy, grinning face. The girl I adore. She always looks at the bright side of everything, and I love her so much for that.
“Happy New Year”, I mumble into Lisa’s ear. She grins, cups my face and kisses me slowly.
But I think she’s too slow. I take a grip of her back, and push her down, into my arms. She gives away a little scream, and then begins to laugh. I just smile and lean down, and kiss her.
“Happy New Year, Harry”.


Niall’s POV (A few hours later)

I brush away a few strings of hair that is covering Amy’s eyes. She grins at me, and I take her hand in mine.
“Come”, she whisper, squeezing my hand and leading me to the kitchen.
I cup her chin in my hand and kiss her again, making her laugh a little at me sudden eager.

I pull away from the kiss.
“What’s wrong?” She asks and looks up at me worriedly.
“Nothing is wrong”, I lie. “Everything is perfect”.

Amy shakes her head and sits down at one of the chairs.
“Niall, I know when you are lying to me”, she says, and I feel my cheeks become hot as I sit down next to her.
“Well, the truth is…”

The door brushes open, and in come a giggling Lisa and Harry.
“Hey, are you guys alright?” I ask them, and they brush out in fits of laughter again.
“Yeah, yeah, we’re fine”, Harry says between giggles and wipes his eyes with his shirt.
Amy shakes her head. “I really hope you haven’t been drinking”, she says and eyes Harry seriously. He laughs.
“I would never!” He exclaims, and throws his arms around Lisa. “Never, ever!” He continues.

I sigh, and stand up. I take Harry over the arm. Zayn comes in to the room, and understands the situation immediately.
“We should get him to the hotel-room”, Zayn states, and I nod.
“I’ll call a cab”, Amy mumbles, before walking out from the kitchen.
“Has he been drinking?” Zayn asks, and I shrug.
“I don’t think so, I believe his just tired”, I mumble.
This isn’t really how Harry acts when he’s drunk. I and should know, I’ve been with him at lots of clubs over the years.
Harry nods, agreeing.
“I have not been drinking!” He yells, and then stands up. “And I can go to the cab myself, thank you”.

Lisa follows us as we go to the cab. Before getting into the passenger-seat, Harry gives her a goodnight-kiss.
“I’ll see you tomorrow”, He says, and Lisa agrees.
“Absolutely”, she says, smiling. Harry gets into the car.

Amy, Katherine and Alex come out on the drive-way.
“Are you leaving, too?” Katherine asks us, and I look at Zayn. Without saying anything, we come to an agreement.
“I don’t think we can leave him like this”, I say. They both nod.
“Alright, but we’ll see you tomorrow?” Amy says, making it sound more like a question that a statement.
“Of course”, I say. “I wouldn’t miss it for the world.”
She smiles, before going up to me. I wrap my arms around her and hug her, tight. I give her a small kiss on her forehead.
When she pulls away, turn to Katherine. I give her a quickl hug and give Alex a fist bump.
Then I get into the cab. I roll the window down, so I can still talk to Amy.
“Goodnight, babe”, I whisper. “I love you, always remember that”.
I hear her take a deep breath, and she wraps her arms around her body, hugging herself in the chilly night. “Goodnight Niall, I love you too”.

She raises her eyebrows. “And don’t even for a second think that I forgot our conversation before, we’ll talk more tomorrow”.
I smile, even thought it’s a little bit forced. “Okay”.
She turns away, and walks up to the house with determinate steps, and closes the door after her as she gets inside.

Det är MINST typ 12 kapitel kvar för er, plus ett litet projekt jag jobbar på som jag kommer att posta om några dagar

I alla fall, jag kan inte sova. För jag tänker på att jag är klar. Jag har inget mer att skriva här.
Och det gör mig nästan rädd.
